Robotic Process Automation (RPA) is the use of software to perform high-volume, repeatable tasks that previously required humans. RPA is used to reduce the burden of repetitive, simple tasks on employees. The software bots can be programmed to complete a workflow with multiple steps and applications, such as filling forms, opening PDFs, reading emails, sending a message, checking the form for completeness, copying files in a folder, updating a spreadsheet with the name of the customer and so on.
